After 3 months of hard testing we have finally found good places to all speakers. During this testing we have build 16 subwoofer boxes, 8 box for midbass, 5 for midrange and couple of different brackets for tweeters.

We have been testing tens of different placement and positions for the speakers. We started by installing midranges in to 2 litres sealed box which was angled directly to the listener. Very soon we noticed that these midranges can and should be angled a little bit upwards to be able to get best possible sound stage without losing any tonality in midrange.

Tweeters came after midranges and we installed them next to the midranges and very close to a-pillars. We tested several different placements and finally we ended up putting them in the a-pillar. Every test took couple of days. First day we installed and tuned the sound and next day we were just listening and aligning them.

For midbasses we started building three different size of sealed boxes which was placed in many positions in the car. At some point midbasses were installed into the doors as well, but that didn´t work as we wanted. We also built vented boxes for them, but sound was a little bit too booming, so we came back to sealed boxes. There is still small issue with midbass area which requires some more tuning and testing until it will be the final one. But even now midbass is very powerful and accurate.

As a last we took subwoofer into the picture. We tested 2x RW6, 2+2 RW6 in stereo, 4x RW6 in sealed and vented box, RW12 and Iridium 10. Any of these subs was not satisfying our needs especially when the other speakers were working so well. The problem was that we either got very deep bass or very good higher bass but not both of them at the same time. In some case it was very close but then the final feeling of the powerfull bass was missing. Now we have found out excelent sub but that will be still a secret for a while. But we can say that now there is very deep bass, higher bass, accuracy and real punch! Some of you have even listen that already in Mini :)
